The Effects of Massage

Although clients find a single massage enjoyable, the beneficial effects of massage are cumulative and a course of massage treatments will elicit the best results. Regular massage can have the effect of improving soft tissue health and optimising the functioning capacity of the entire body mechanism. In doing so, massage can help to prevent unnecessary strains and injuries that might otherwise occur due to excess muscle tension and soft tissue restrictions. Different massage techniques can be used to either stimulate or calm the nervous system (depending on what is required by the client) and thus help to reduce fatigue. This, in turn, can leave the individual with a feeling of replenished energy.

At its best, massage has the potential to restore the individual – physically, mentally and spiritually.
