Caroline Willingale

Caroline Willingale

Caroline has 18 years in the industry, working across allied health clinics, day spas and wellness centres before joining us. That mix matters, because it means she’s comfortable with both the clinical side of remedial work and with the part of a treatment that’s about giving someone an hour where nothing is asked of them.

Her style is on the gentler side. Caroline uses trigger point therapy alongside long, flowing techniques, working with slow, sustained pressure rather than pushing hard into a muscle to make it let go. Plenty of people find that far more effective for them, particularly anyone who has come away from a firm massage feeling worse for a couple of days afterwards, or who tenses up as soon as pressure builds.

Who tends to book with Caroline

She suits people who want a calmer treatment and still want the tight areas addressed. That’s often people carrying tension through the neck, shoulders and upper back from desk work, people who find deep tissue work too intense, older clients, and anyone who wants to unwind properly rather than grit their teeth through an hour. She also sees a lot of regulars who come in every few weeks to stay on top of things rather than waiting until something seizes up.

What to expect

Caroline will ask what’s been bothering you and how you want the session to feel before she starts, then work at a pressure that suits you and adjust as she goes. If something isn’t settling with massage and looks like it needs assessing properly, she’ll say so, and one of the physiotherapists here can take a look.

Outside the clinic Caroline swims, walks, watches films and spends time with her family.
